Purpose: Custom Objects can be paired with Custom Fields to track all the most important pieces of data. Individual Custom Objects are called Entities. Entities could be sales opportunities, projects, clients, or something else
Records can be added to Kizen in three ways:
1. Add an Entity Record Manually
3. Mass Upload Records through a .CSV File
Add an Entity Record Manually
Records can be added manually, one at a time, using these steps:
1. Navigate to Data tab from the top menu bar
2. Click Custom Objects
3. Click the Custom Object to add records for
4. Click New Location
5. Complete the required fields
6. Click Save
Quick Add a Record
Basic details on record can be added from the All Records page, using these steps:
1. Navigate to Data tab from the top menu bar
2. Click Custom Objects and select the Custom Object to add records for
3. To the left of the All Contacts table, click + Quick Add
4. Enter the record information.
5. Click the ✓ to save each data point
Mass Upload Records through a .CSV File
Large groups of records can be uploaded through .CSV Files, using these steps:
1. Navigate to Data tab from the top menu bar
2. Click Custom Objects
3. Click the V next to New location
4. Select Upload Records
5. Select your .CSV file from your computer
Tip: It is recommended to download the Kizen provided template, add in the record information, and use this file to upload the records
6. Match Records to confirm the Kizen Field is associated with the correct .CSV Field (column on your table). This will ensure the data is uploaded into the correct field
7. Finalize Upload to confirm the records are uploading to the correct fields
8. Click Upload
Hint: Use the Match Records section of the upload record process to control which data points are included in the upload. CSV Field: The Don't Upload option will not upload this field into Kizen Conflict resolution: Only Update Blank: If a matching record name exists in Kizen today, only records that have this field blank in Kizen today will be updated Overwrite Fields: If a matching record name exists in Kizen today, the information in this field will be changed to what is included in your .CSV file
