Custom Field Types: File Fields

Purpose: This article discusses the ability to create custom fields in Kizen for tracking various file types, including documents, images, and audio. This functionality is beneficial for users as it simplifies file management within the Kizen platform, promoting better organization and efficiency in workflows

In Kizen, custom fields can be created to track files. Below you will find the file types that are accepted:

Type	Extension
PDF	pdf
Delimited Flat File	csv, tsv
Spreadsheet	xlsx, xls, ods
Presentation	ppt, pptx, odp
Image	png, jpeg, jpg, tiff, svg
Document	doc, docx, rtf, txt, odt
Zip	zip, gzip
Audio	mp3, wav, ogg
Style Sheet	css

When using a File type Custom Field, the file size cannot exceed 50MB.

Hint: If your file exceeds 50MB you will receive an error

To Upload a File:

1. Navigate to the File type field you would like to upload

2. Upload your file

3. Click Save

Note: A password-protected file can be uploaded to Kizen; however, it will not be scanned for viruses
