Purpose: Custom fields describe a specific custom object. When creating a new custom field there are many different field types to choose from. Please see below for all supported custom field types currently available in the system.

Custom Fields Overview
When creating a Custom Field, it is necessary to choose a Custom Field Type. There are 20 custom field types that are currently supported in the CRM system. This article explains each of the different custom field types and their purpose. In addition, each custom field type allows you to customize which options are visible to the user and are available to be selected.
Custom Field Type
There are 20 Custom Field Types to choose from when creating a Custom Field on Contacts.

Type | Description |
Checkbox | A single checkbox field that can be ticked by a user making a binary decision. |
Checkboxes | A user can make multiple selections by checking off a combination of options. |
Date | A Date field in the format of [MM/DD/YYYY]. |
Date Time | A Date Time field in the format of [MM/DD/YYYY]. |
Dropdown | A form of combo box which allows the user to choose a single value from the list. |
Dynamic Tags | Allow the user to import field options or add tags for searchability |
Email Address | This is the email address field used to collect email information |
Files | Custom fields can be created to track the uploading of files |
Long Text | A longer Free form text field that can store extra characters than a usual text field |
Number (Decimal) | A decimal in the format of 0.00 |
Number (Whole) | A whole number in the format of 0 |
Phone Number | phone number fields are formatted in the E.164 format. This format ensures that phone numbers are stored and correctly routed to individual phones in different countries. Numbers in the E.164 format include [+] [country code] [subscriber number including area code] and can have a maximum of fifteen digits. For example, a number with a US country code would look like this: Ex: +1 888 859 0482. |
Price | The dollar amount and associated currency that has been set. |
Radio Buttons | A user can select a single option from multiple values that you can set up. |
Rating | This is based on a scale of 1-5. |
Relationship | Assign the related object to the relationship type. For example, the relationship to the contacts object would be one-to-one for a spouse, and many-to-many for a dependent, or beneficiary, etc. |
Status | The current state of the object which can be chosen from a list of available options that have been imported or added manually. |
Team Selector | Choose between which sales team to designate to for that record. |
Text | A Free form text field |
Yes/No Question | The user can choose between answering yes or no on a question. |
Choose Field Type section under option to Add New Field.
Scroll down this page to set Field Options, click Save
Please note: there are number of field types that have a specific set of parameters that you could preset. For example: Client Status, List for States or Radio Button defaults. etc.
